Technical terms are explained only as far as they help you understand your choices.
Our Qualcomm Snapdragon coverage
Our Snapdragon PC hub follows platform developments, computer models and the application ecosystem. ARMPE edits this coverage independently and checks specifications, model details and support requirements against the relevant official sources.
Our brand
ARMPE is a registered trademark in China in Classes 9, 35 and 42. We use the ARMPE brand for this publication and its guides. Trademark registration does not mean this site is owned by a chipmaker or a computer manufacturer.
What is ARM PE?
In our technical coverage, ARM PE means Windows PE (Windows Preinstallation Environment) for ARM64 devices. It is a lightweight environment for deployment, diagnostics and maintenance, rather than a full desktop version of Windows. Boot, storage and network support depend on the device, image and drivers. It does not inherit all x86/x64 application emulation capabilities of full Windows.
